ORC, AI-Powered Receipt Processing

The problem

Receipts pile up as photos, and turning them into expense records is manual typing. Sending them to a hosted service also means handing over private financial data.

What I built

• Google Gemini OCR with per-field YAML extraction across a dozen fields, each with a confidence score.
• Web Workers keep the UI responsive during batch processing.
• Privacy-first, local-first architecture: IndexedDB persistence and an encrypted in-browser API key, so receipt data never leaves the device beyond the AI call.
• Multi-format export: CSV, Excel, PDF and JSON.
• Installable on mobile and deployed on Vercel.
