Multi-env GitOps Platform
A fully automated, GitOps-driven Kubernetes platform that runs on a laptop. Terraform bootstraps the cluster and ArgoCD, and Git is the only way anything reaches an environment.
The problem
Learning the full delivery chain usually means a cloud bill and an account someone else controls. Tutorials each cover one link, so the interesting parts, like who may change prod and what happens when a release is wrong, never come up.
What I built
- k3d cluster provisioned by Terraform, with ArgoCD owning every workload through an app-of-apps.
- CI builds multi-arch images to GHCR and commits the new tag to a dedicated GitOps repository.
- Dev takes every build. Prod changes only through a reviewed pull request behind CODEOWNERS.
- Argo Rollouts canary that pauses for a human judgment before completing.
- An optional managed EKS cluster can run the same platform from the same repository.
